'Twas The Night Before Christmas (Ahmoye Style)

’Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house,

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

The Ahmoye family were away for the holiday season,

After driving 12 hours to Vancity (for good reason).

‘Hustle and bustle’ would describe 2018,

So they headed out West for Mum’s A-plus cuisine. 

They bought a new house and moved in the Spring,

They hosted and entertained without expecting a thing. 

They witnessed good friends walk down the aisle,

Followed by dinner, drinks, and dancing in style.

No big vacations to speak of, no international flair,

The 2019 update will have more details there.

Daniel’s career soared to new heights,

As he racked up the airmiles on cross-country flights.

He problem-solved and gave client’s a head start,

Though he longed for his family on the days spent apart. 

Maelle took on the world with a zest like no other,

Being the best big sister to her little baby brother. 

She started competitive gymnastics and learned to read,

All with her own personal style that helps her succeed.

Linden started walking and talking with a smile to dread,

He even started to grow some hair on his head. 

He loves trucks, dinosaurs, and any type of ball,

But loves his sister by far most of all. 

Lulu continued her wild and crazy ways,

Although she still loves to snooze and long lazy days.

She will go to anyone who will give her a pet,

And they say she’s in good health when we visit the vet. 

Carly continues to pick up the slack,

Driving the kids to their activities and back.

She started a new blog - she loves to write,

And even guest-blogged for another website.

Overall, this year can be classed as an epic one,

Filled with good memories, laughter, and fun.

They look forward to what 2019 has in store,

And hope that love, luck, and good health come knock on your door!
